City changing to gas chamber :

Due to vehicular movement, use of gas stove & disposal of solid waste, on an average 119 tone of green house i.e. Carbon dioxide is being added daily to Bhubaneswar atmosphere. As per the BMC's City Energy Report, the quantity of CO2 in 2001 was 6.29 lakh tone. During the end of the year 2005-06, it has reached to 8.89 tone. The main source of green house gas is the residential area.
