For conservation of animals, Nandankanan Zoo is starting the adopt-an-animal programme which offers for individuals, corporate houses, voluntary organisations and clubs willing to adopt. The cost ranges from Rs. 500 per yea for a bud gerigar to Rs. 2.3 lakhs for an elephant.
